Rules of Conduct

• ※ The PW Essence administrative team is entirely composed of volunteers with no personal and/or professional ties to the original developer of Perfect World - and its employees, therefore, this service is a private server of the same game.
• ※ It is the responsibility of its members to manage and ensure the server’s full operation, referring to technical issues, financial support, community support, and other aspects, except in cases where the team’s intervention is unnecessary or impossible to execute.
• ※ By accepting the terms of use of PW Essence and creating your online avatar, the user grants the administration the right to manage their account, changing the information provided at registration that violates server rules, or temporarily or permanently suspending the registration if rule violations are found within the game; however, the user DOES NOT grant the administration the right to use, for any purpose, the email, name, password, and IP address provided at registration.
• ※ Suspended players have the right to appeal ONLY ONCE for the administration to review the ban, which will decide whether the penalty was valid or a mistake; suspended players also have the right to request a copy of the article condemning them under these terms, along with proof of the infraction committed, to justify the suspension.
• ※ Although the game aims to run 24 hours a day, the PW Essence team may shut down servers to perform maintenance deemed necessary for proper equipment and software operation. These maintenances may or may not be scheduled in advance, depending on technical adjustment needs.

• ※ PW Essence, being a 100% free service in its entirety, has no other means of fundraising and financial survival other than VOLUNTARY donations from our users, which are used to cover the necessary server maintenance costs. These donors will receive a certain amount of Cubi Golds (in-game currency) equivalent to the donated amount, as a thank you for their support.
• ※ Refunds of donated amounts will only be made upon PROOF, via a CLAIM, that the virtual currency compensation contract was not fulfilled by the SERVER. Except in this case, no other refunds are possible. Attempts of false donation or cancellation after reward delivery will result in blocking all accounts accessed by the player in the last 6 months.
• ※ Donor users will not receive special treatment from administrators regarding online support and are subject to the same rules and punishments as non-donor users.

• ※ It is the player's responsibility to ensure the security of their account, preferably following team guidelines, which are: change your password every 14 days; do not use public or unknown internet computers or networks to log in; keep your computer security software updated; keep your access data confidential, never sharing the account with third parties, even if there is a trusted relationship.
• ※ The administration will not intervene in problems caused by the player’s negligence regarding account security. Under no circumstances will lost items or stolen Cubi Golds be reimbursed.
• ※ PW Essence is not responsible for any damage to items and/or character regressions caused by slowness or internet connection loss on the user’s side. It is up to the user to assess the situation and decide whether negotiations, etc., are possible.
• ※ Once confirmed, it is impossible to reverse trades, NPC sales, auction house purchases and sales, store purchases, or character deletions. It is the player’s responsibility to properly handle their items to avoid unwanted situations.
• ※ It is understood that by registering on the site, the user is already aware of the current terms of use on the server. Ignorance of the rules will not be accepted as a justification for account or character unblocking or any kind of damage compensation the user may incur.

1. ON SOCIAL AND VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS

• ※ The online environment has various communication systems that allow sending and receiving written messages from other players. By allowing the display of any content, the chat and other official PW Essence networks have their own rules and prohibitions established to promote mutual respect and conscious use of the tools.
• 1.1 The use of general, local, or private chat for spreading hate speech, xenophobia, homophobia, racism, pornographic content, and other condemnable and intolerant behaviors is strictly prohibited and punishable. PW Essence administration believes in maintaining free player expression, but if the target of insult, slander, and defamation feels harmed by terms addressed to them, punishments may be applied to the offender.

   The penalty for violating this term ranges from 5 minutes of chat block to permanent suspension of the account(s).

• 1.2 Advertising other private servers inside PW Essence or on its related social networks without authorization from the administrative team is intolerable.

   The penalty for violating this term is a permanent suspension by the player’s IP.

• 1.3 The use of special characters (ASCII, HTML, ...) that considerably hinder or make online reading impossible is prohibited.

   The penalty for violating this term ranges from 5 minutes of chat block to a 7-day suspension of the character or account involved.

• 1.4 Restrictions apply to the trading of: 1) ACCOUNTS, via donation or any other internal or external game resources; you must be aware that the account is non-transferable and its first holder may always reclaim access upon request, causing material damage to other users not subject to PW Essence support. 2) ITEMS/Cubi Golds, for real money or external trades.

   The penalty for violating this term is suspension of the involved account(s) or perpetual retention of items/Cubi Golds by the administration.

• 1.5 PW Essence chat has its own anti-flood system, but sending the same message multiple times is still prohibited, as it will be considered SPAM if visible more than 4 times on screen.

   The penalty for violating this term ranges from 30 minutes of chat block to 7-day suspension of the character or account involved.

• 1.6 It is strictly forbidden to impersonate a PW Essence administrator, as well as using names that may be understood as such (GMxxx, ADMxxx, ...).

   The penalty for violating this rule is permanent suspension by the player’s IP.

• 1.7 It is permanently forbidden to spread unfounded information, rumors, and falsehoods about the server and/or its administrators intending to damage their image or disrupt the proper functioning of the game services.

   The penalty for violating this term ranges from 1 hour chat block to permanent suspension of the player’s account(s).

• 1.8 It is a crime to falsify, tamper with, or forge evidence (screenshots, audio, etc.) to deceive game authorities and force/unjustly punish someone.

   The penalty for violating this term ranges from 3 days block to permanent suspension of the player’s account(s).

• 1.9 It is forbidden to subject third parties to circumstances that prevent them from fully enjoying game events and activities. This rule does not apply when PvP is inherent, expected, or essential.

   The penalty for violating this term ranges from 1 day block to permanent suspension of the player’s account(s).

2. ON TECHNICAL ISSUES

• 2.1 The use of hacking, cheating, or any other cheat-related resources that give you an advantage or harm another player is prohibited.

   The penalty for violating this term ranges from permanent suspension of the account(s) to permanent suspension by the player’s IP.

• 2.2 Exploiting or taking advantage of any bugs or system flaws to gain advantages in PW Essence is prohibited, and players must report such problems to the administrative team.

   The penalty for violating this term ranges from suspension up to 31 days to permanent suspension of the account(s).

3. OMISSIONS AND RULE UPDATES

• ※ Omitted cases (not mentioned on this page) will be analyzed by the administration, which will decide what actions to take (including applying punishments if necessary) regarding them. We advise users to use common sense when in doubt about what is prohibited or allowed on the server.
