Mounts and Flight

At level 30, all races unlock the ability to fly using aerogears. Winged ones start at level 1 with the ability to fly, but their wings consume MP when used. At level 30, all races can use aerogears to fly without any penalty.

To start using aerogears, you must first go to the Elder in Dragon City and complete the quest he gives you. For all races, the quest tells you to go to your race’s Recluse and speak with them. The Recluse will have you complete a task, and after that, you’ll be able to use your race’s aerogear. While flying, you can use the Accelerate command to fly faster, and this also has a separate meter that drains with use.

Additional mounts can be found at the Pet Trainer in any city or in the Item Mall.

Improving Your Mount

To improve your flying mount, you’ll need to travel to Universal City. This is where you’ll find the aircraft forge (117, 853). Simply click this forge and it will show all the available flying mounts by race and type that you can upgrade.

Once you decide to upgrade your mount, you’ll need to access the in-game Shop and purchase Wind Spirits. These can be found under the Fly -> Upgrades category. Now, just access the forge and find your flying mount.

Flight Accelerators and Mounts

Fairy of Wind
Use it at the forge in Universal City to increase the speed of your aerogears. It can only be used on aerogears purchased from the Boutique.

Hasty Boots
Use at the Pet Manager to increase the speed of your land mount from 8.0 m/s to 9.0 m/s. Lowers the required pet level from 40 to 20.

Squall Boot
Use at the Pet Manager to increase your land mount speed from 9.0 m/s to 10.0 m/s. Lowers the required pet level from 60 to 20.

Fast Flight Mode / Accelerated Flight

As you can see here, there are 2 versions of Spurs with different flight speeds. To get the faster version, you must first make the initial one.

To craft it, just unequip your mount and make sure you have Wind Spirit in your inventory, then place them in the required material icon. Doing this will light up the requirements, indicating they are met. Now just click start and it will create your upgraded version.

It’s important to remember that you must do them in order because without the previous version, your flying mount cannot be upgraded.

On the emotes page (key E), there is an icon called Accelerate. If you use this button while in flight mode, you will enter your aircraft’s Fast Speed mode. Here, the speed would be +4.50 meters/second. The amount of time you have in this mode depends on each individual aircraft. This flying mount has 300/600 seconds, so you can maintain that speed for that many seconds.

Chi Stones

The only way to recharge this bar is to place One Source Stone or more into the item itself, simply by dragging and dropping. What you should keep in mind is that recharging this bar will require a large number of stones, so you may not want to use accelerated mode too hastily.

One Source Stone and similar types can be crafted by decomposing items like weapons and armor. To obtain this skill, you must learn the crafting skill of the item you wish to decompose. For example, if you want to decompose weapons, you need blacksmithing, if you want to decompose armor, you need tailoring skill, and so on.
