Player vs Player

Inside the game, there are several battle modes. They range from Player vs Environment (PVE), which includes monsters, bosses, and invasions, to Player vs Player (PVP). In PVP, players actively engage in combat to test skills and kill each other. When you kill another player, this is known as player killing or PKing. Below are the different visual character statuses a player can have:

Blue Names: The player is in shield mode; they cannot attack or be attacked by any player.

White Names: The player is currently neutral. They may have activated PK mode but have not attacked anyone yet.

Pink Names: The player has definitely killed other players. In this mode, you have a chance to lose items from your inventory and equipment slots if killed while infamous, so be careful!

Red Name: The player has killed many other players. Beware of red names because you could be next. The more kills you accumulate, the longer you will remain in this mode. The penalty for dying while having a red name is much harsher than normal. Killing monsters at or above your level will reduce your infamous duration.

Note: There are many safe zones in Perfect World. You cannot PK in these areas.

Note: Players are forced into PK status during Territory Wars and some special activities. There is no death penalty during these periods.

Level 30 and above: These levels are free for PK. When users reach this level, they are flagged for PVP. There is no way to turn it off, but areas such as cities will still be considered safe zones with PK disabled.
