Pet

Pets can range from decorative to mounts and battle companions. You can access the Pet Menu by pressing P.

Pet Managers are scattered around the world in various cities. They serve a variety of functions, such as hatching pet eggs, renaming pets, and even teaching new skills to pets.

Below is a list of pet manager functions and what each one does:

Pet Skill Window

Hatch pet eggs: hatch a pet or mount into a usable form.

Restore pet/revert pet: after a pet is hatched and you no longer wish to keep it, you can revert the pet back into an egg.

Rename pet: allows the user to rename their pets.

Forget pet skills: each pet has a limited number of active skills it can have at any time. If you wish to change these skills, simply click it, select it here, and your pet will forget that skill, leaving an open slot. Before learning or forgetting skills, you must summon your pet.

Tame Pets: Learn skills related to pet management.

Learn Pet Skills: Each unique pet in the game has its own set of skills. In this menu, you can teach new skills to your pet. The pet you wish to teach skills must be summoned.

Pet Cage Expansion Quest

To start the quest, talk to any Pet Skill Trainer/Pet Manager around the world.

They will ask you to gather the following:

Green grass
Quest to expand the current pet bag space to 2. You must deliver 20 Verdant Grass to complete the quest.
Note: Verdant Grass can be found by killing Highland Turtles in the river east of Broken Bridge Village, Antelope Cubs near Silver Pool, Megalith Rhinos southwest of City of the Dragon, and other selected mobs around the world.

Fruit
Quest to expand the current pet bag space to 3. You must deliver 50 Wild Fruits to complete the quest.
Note: Can be found on flying mobs, such as Sky Wolf King in the skies southwest of Sword City, Sky Poison near the City of Heaven’s Tears, Sea Shredder at the Shattered Jade Coast, and other selected mobs around the world.

Ganoderma
Quest to expand the current pet bag space to 4. You must deliver 100 Wild Mushrooms to complete the quest.

Wild Ginseng
Quest to expand the current pet bag space to 5. You must deliver 150 Wild Ginsengs to complete the quest.

Pet Cage
Quest to expand current bag space by 1.
Available from players or in the game shop. Cannot be found anywhere else in the game.

Special Items in the Shop

Pet Box
Contains 10 to 50 Hercules Power. Used to create the battle pet Hercules. Take them to Golden Flower Granny in City of the Dragon.

Pet Cage
Take it to the Pet Tamer and she will extend your pet bag.

Pet Customization

You can buy the following item from Golden Flower Granny (586 620) located in South City of the Dragon.

Pet Chaplet
Name your pet with this collar.

Forget's Booklet
Make a pet forget a skill it already knows.

Domestricate's Booklet
Improve a pet’s skill by one level.

Contains the skills: Flesh Ream (Lv1), Pierce (Lv1), Pounce (Lv1), Tough (Lv1)

Quincunx Kitten
Contains the skills: Flesh Ream (Lv1), Howl (Lv1), Pierce (Lv1), Slow (Lv1)

Flying Pig
Contains the skills: Bash (Lv1), Howl (Lv1), Tough (Lv2), Boost (Lv1)

Gnosis Pup
Contains the skills: Bash (Lv1), Flesh Ream (Lv2), Threaten (Lv1), Slow (Lv2)
